- One of Excelsior Academy's proudest moments was being recognized in Washington, D.C. by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
- EA has had the honor of being chosen as a host school by the California League of Middle Schools and by four international teams of educators from Pakistan, Colombia, Singapore and England.
- The Western Association of Schools and Colleges awarded Excelsior with a six-year clear accreditation and several commendations.
- In Philadelphia, Excelsior was recognized as a National School of Character award winner.
- The San Diego Chargers named Excelsior Academy as a Chargers Champions school.
