Leaders Club
Leaders Club is a student organization that includes opportunities for student leadership activities and has a peer mediation component. One of its major focuses is to help the EA community maintain harmony and serenity throughout the school. This is accomplished through a group of students who convene to listen to students or staff members who need to problem-solve an issue.
The Leaders Club will ask questions, offer advice or suggestions, and help to find a solution, as needed. Additionally, throughout the year, Leaders Club will be involved in preparing for several assemblies, submitting ideas for Eagle Days, and conducting schoolwide community service activities.
Each year there are three panels of Leaders Club officers, one panel for each trimester. During the year, Leaders Club officers work with students under the direction of the counselors.
In the past, this student organization has guided students to learn about such topics as:
- Appropriate bus behaviors
- Consistency in turning in homework
- Understanding how to make and keep friends
- Establishing positive ways of communicating
The effects of Leaders Club activities upon the schoolwide community tend to be long-lasting and beneficial to all.
